The challenge
A multi site tanning salon group required a supply partner that understood the specialist hygiene demands of the tanning industry. Maintaining clean and hygienic tanning beds is essential, but products must also be suitable for use on sensitive acrylic surfaces.
Alongside tanning bed sanitation, the group needed reliable products for cleaning floors, washrooms, reception areas and other customer facing spaces. Previously, these products were being sourced separately, creating inconsistent availability and additional administration for salon managers.
Our approach
Blue Shield Hygiene introduced a complete cleaning and paper hygiene solution across the group. The range included our specialist acrylic safe tanning bed cleaner, supported by suitable products for floors, washrooms and general surface cleaning.
We also supplied the salons with their everyday paper requirements, including toilet tissue, paper rolls and other essential hygiene consumables. By bringing these products together, each location could order the majority of its cleaning and hygiene requirements from one supplier.
We worked with the group to standardise the products used across every salon and provided clear guidance on their correct application and dilution. This helped managers establish a consistent cleaning routine while controlling chemical usage and avoiding unnecessary waste.
The result
The salon group now operates a consistent hygiene system across its locations. Staff have access to the correct products for tanning beds, floors, washrooms and communal areas, helping each salon maintain the standards expected by its customers.
Consolidating chemicals, paper products and consumables with Blue Shield Hygiene has also simplified ordering, improved product availability and reduced the time managers spend dealing with multiple suppliers.
